Our Story
A Nashville Catering Tradition for Over 30 Years
During 1988, Sandy Ambrogi first established Ambrosia Catering due to high demand for catering in Nashville. It became known to be one of the top four catering businesses in Nashville as they catered for famous country artists such as Tim McGraw, Dolly Parton, and even at the Country Music Festival. We began to become known for our barbecue baby back ribs as over 150,000 people have raved about them. Our Southern BBQ Menu grew to be acclaimed as “the best'' barbecue ribs in Tennessee.
In 2001, Sherif Tadros was initially hired to work as a chef in the kitchen but later was promoted, kitchen manager. Although his primary job was to prepare the meals, he connected with all of the staff and soon became a second family to him. He was later promoted as a general manager working alongside Sandy to flourish the company. They catered for famous Nashville landmarks such as the Belle Meade Mansion, The Ryman Auditorium, the Riverwood Mansion, etc.
However, in 2012, Sandy was planning to shut Ambrosia down but Sherif bought it in hopes to expand and renovate it. It was initially an 1800 square foot commercial kitchen located in Berry Hill, but it is now a 3000 square foot kitchen near Gladstone Avenue. He has carried the business since then and plans to continue not only serving meals and food but great memorable events.
At Ambrosia, catering is our only business. We take pride in the caliber of service we’ve brought to Nashville & surrounding areas for the last 30 years. Local ownership & years of food service experience help make your catering experience excellent in every way.
